Michael Malitowski & Joanna Leunis Interview

This interview was also done at the 2010 European Championship in Moscow. Unlike the one with Slavik & Anna, they speak English here, which is nice for us.

This video of Slavik and Anna’s interview was just posted today on Youtube. It is from the 2010 European Championship where they got the third place after Michael/Joanna and Sergey and Melia.
Here’s the result.
1. Michael Malitowski & Joanna Leunis
2. Sergey Surkov & Melia
3. Slavik Kryklivyyi & Anna Melnikova
4. Andrej Skufca & Melinda Torokgyorgy
5. Justinas Duknauskas & Ekaterina Lapaeva
6. Markus Homm & Ksenia Kasper
I have no idea what Slavik and Anna are saying but they do look happy.

This is another excellent makeup tutorial. The tutorial is pretty comprehensive and the final look is very dramatic. The use of a piece of tape for eye makeup is very interesting.

According to this post at Dance Forums, Slavik and Anna are scheduled to do a show at WDC World Pro-Am Championship in Bahamas. I looked at the WDC’s site but couldn’t find any details about them doing shows. But the competition does look like an exciting one. Wish I could go. Maybe some other year…..
The event will be held March 26-29 on Paradise Island, Bahamas.

Here’s another excelllent make-up tutorial from JAM Cosmetics. This video focuses on ballroom makeup, which is inspired by Dancing with the Stars. Jessica starts with a completed left-side makeup and gives step-by-step instructions while she applies makeup on her right-side face. You can see the brushes she uses as well as techniques to use them.
Even if you are experienced with ballroom dance competition makeups, I’m sure you can get some additional tips here. When I watched this video, I realized that I wasn’t using a correct brush for the initial eye shadow application. Another interesting thing she mentions in this video is that most people’s eyes are not symmetrical. She says one of the focus when applying eye makeup should be to make both eyes look symmetrical. Well, that’s a good tip for me because my right eye is smaller than my left eye…..
Here are some of the things to note from the video.
Overall, this tutorial is very good and I like the way she explains about each step. I also like the end result.
She says she will put up another video about how to put on fake eyelashes, which will be helpful for many people.
