Here is the list of tempo for each dance (American style and International style) as specified by NDCA.
 
International Style

Cha Cha   — 31 MPM (124 BPM)
Samba     — 48-50 MPM (96-100 BPM) — 2 beats per measure
Rumba    — 27 MPM (108 BPM)
Paso Doble –60-62 MPM (120-124 BPM) — 2 beats per measure
Jive         — 38-44 MPM (152-176 BPM)

Ladies: What to Bring to a Competition

A week before the competition

Get hair and nails done
Check the costumes for any repairs or enforcement of hooks, etc.
Check the accessories
Try the costumes and dance to find out if any minor fix is necessary

On the day of the competition

Hair products

Hair spray
Bobby Pins
Hair brush/comb

MakeUp

Lipstick, eye shadow, false eyelashes, eyelash glue, mascara, powder, etc.
Extra makeup
Small mirror
