Competition makeups should be different from our day-to-day makeups so the audience and judges can see our facial expression from a distance. According to this article at dance-forums.com, the current trend for competition makeup is for a more natural look. It seems like bright red lipsticks, false eyelashes, and using lots of colors on the face is becoming “out.” Last year, I went to a MAC counter at a local department store and ask the lady there to give me a “dramatic look.” Hmmmm… that won’t work any more. I’d better practice by myself.
